Research

My main motivational driver is finding (IT)solutions/aids for issues. Automate every task that regularly takes more than half an hour to complete. With the years, my focus has shifted to the sustainability of solutions and the challenges of interdisciplinary work.

  • Greenmapper (2010 – present) University of Groningen. Surveys on maps, manage datasets and exploration/analysis tools.
  • Werkstatt Helleheide (2018-2022) Arsu. Citizen participation with online map-based tool.
  • WaLTER (2014-2018) University of Groningen. Development of dashboard, SEED and maps portal for the trilateral Waddenarea.
  • C-BiLLT (2013 – present) AmsterdamUMC. Development of online test for measuring understanding of spoken language in children with severe impairments.
  • SCRATCH4All (2011) University of Groningen, National Archive. Development of search interface and cut-out tool for handwritten texts (Monk).
  • Online search for Library and Archive collections (2009 – present) Atria and IHLIA.
  • Geoshare (2004) Development interactive online map-application for the Groningen labour market.
