The ScientificAdvisory Board gives a positive vote on the NIhK's research agenda



A scientific advisory board appointed by the MWK, in which renowned scientists from all disciplines established at the institute traditionally accompanies the work of the NIhK. Once a year the advisory board comes to Wilhelmshaven for two days to discuss its current research with the NIhK team. At this year's meeting, which took place on 19 and 20 November, the advisory board discussed the NIhK's current research with the NIhK team. At this year's meeting, which took place on 19th and 20th November, the focus was on newly launched research projects, such as the investigation of the clothing of the Bernuthsfeld man and the trilateral joint project WADWAD; however, the fieldwork carried out last summer was also discussed, such as that carried out in the Subnordica, Strandwälle/Butjadingen and CoastAdapt projects. The results achieved were evaluated very positively. In addition the office buildings and technical infrastructure available to the NIhK team were inspected. Overall, the members of the Scientific Advisory Board were impressed by the institute's recognisable positive development and emphasised its importance for interdisciplinary coastal and settlement research.
